Collections Schedule:

WEDNESDAY:  Trash Pick up and Recycling Collection

THURSDAY: Yard Waste Collection (including real Christmas trees)

When to put out trash: No earlier than 7:00 p.m. the night before pick up                                                                    

Waste Containers and trash (including yard waste) must be stored inside each house/townhouse.

Per Vizcaya Master Article X Restrictive Covenants  Section 8. Garbage and Trash:

No trash, rubbish, debris, garbage or other waste material or refuse shall be placed, stored or permitted to accumulate on any part of the Properties except in covered or sealed sanitary containers. All such sanitary containers must be stored within each building. No trash, rubbish, debris, garbage or other waste material or refuse shall be placed outside for pick-up prior to 7:00 p.m. on the night before such garbage is scheduled to be picked up. Declarant may place common sanitary containers within the condominium and multifamily villages in locations determined by Declarant in its sole discretion.

Yard waste: to be placed for collection on or after 7 PM on Wednesday to be collected on Thursday morning. Otherwise please ask yard service provider to take waste with them as part of service.

Violation of community rules, Garbage and Trash, subject to enforcement which may include fines, suspension of resident’s entrance lane transponder(s) and common area amenities. 

For collection, set garbage containers on curb or in driveway apron. Do not Place garbage containers on the street (black asphalt).

Call Orange County Solid Waste Management to schedule large items pickup:

such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, and up to 4 automobile/pickup truck tires

Live Christmas trees can be set out at the curb on Thursday Yard Waste day for collection and recycling. Trees over 6 feet should be cut in half. Remove all ornaments, decorations, and stands before placing at the curb. Artificial trees are not collected with yard waste.

HOLIDAYS

NO Garbage, Recycling or Yard Waste Service on:

  •                 Thanksgiving Day
  •                 Christmas Day

When Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day fall on a regular scheduled collection day, collection will be one day after the normally scheduled collection day for the rest of the week.

In 2016, Christmas Day falls on a Sunday, so collection will not be affected that week.

To request smaller (65 gallons cart vs 95 gallons cart) garbage and/or recycling containers call 407-836-6601

Recycling is required by Orange County 

All recyclable items may be placed in the roll cart with the blue lid.

The following items are acceptable:

  • Newspapers and advertisements
  • Pasteboard (i.e., cereal and shoe boxes, and empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls)
  • Paper bags
  • Phone books
  • Flattened corrugated cardboard boxes
  • Magazines and catalogs
  • Junk mail
  • Office, writing, and note paper
  • Metal cans (tin, aluminum, and steel)
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Aseptic containers (drink boxes) and gable top cartons
  • Empty aerosol cans
  • Plastic bottles and containers labeled #1 – #7

The recycling program can only recycle the material listed above and no other material should go into the recycling cart.

Below is a list of materials that should not be placed in the recycling cart:

  • No hazardous materials
  • No delivery pizza boxes
  • No food waste
  • No dishes, paper plates, pots, or pans
  • No tires
  • No batteries
  • No clothes/textiles
  • No carpet
  • No plants or yard waste such as bagged or loose grass, leaves, or small branches
  • No plastic bags
  • No electronics
  • No hoses
  • No toys or laundry baskets
  • No juice pouches
  • No shredded paper
  • No polystyrene/styrofoam
  • No gift wrap, ribbons, bows
  • No liquids
  • No hangers (plastic or wire)
